Careerflow.ai’s Job Portal allows you to optimize your resume directly from a job posting before applying. With the Tailor For Job feature, you can quickly customize your resume based on the job description using our One Click Optimizer.
You can also switch to a different Base Resume if you want to apply using another version of your resume.
This helps improve your resume relevance, strengthen your skill match score, and increase your chances of landing interviews.
Please note: this feature is currently available only for U.S.-based users.
Getting Started
Step 1: Log in to Careerflow.ai
Visit careerflow.ai and log in using your registered email address and password.
If you don’t have an account yet, click on Sign Up to create one. Once logged in, you’ll be directed to your dashboard.
Step 2: Open the Jobs Tab
From the dashboard, navigate to the left-hand panel and click on “Jobs.” This will open the Job Portal, where you can browse and select job listings from multiple job boards across the web.
Step 3: Open a Job Posting
Select any job listing you’re interested in. Once opened, the job details panel will appear on the right side of the screen.
In this section, you’ll see your currently selected Base Resume along with options to:
Tailor your resume for the job
Change your selected base resume
Step 4: Change Your Base Resume
If you want to use a different resume version for the selected role:
Click the “Change” button beside your current Base Resume
Select another resume from your Resume Builder and confirm your selection
Your newly selected resume will now be used for job matching and resume optimization. This is especially helpful if you maintain multiple resumes for different industries, roles, or experience levels.
Step 5: Tailor Your Resume for the Job
To customize your resume based on the job description:
Click the “Tailor For Job” button
Careerflow.ai’s One Click Optimizer will analyze the selected job posting. The system will generate optimized resume suggestions tailored to the role. This feature helps align your resume with:
Job-specific keywords
Required skills
Role responsibilities
ATS-friendly formatting and optimization
You’ll also see a list of recommended key skills identified from the job description. From here, you can:
Review the suggested skills before applying optimization changes
Select the skills you want to incorporate into your resume
De-select any skills that are not relevant to your experience or target role
Step 6: Review AI Suggestions and Apply Resume Changes
After tailoring your resume, Careerflow.ai will generate an ATS-friendly version of your resume with AI-powered recommendations based on the selected job posting.
In this section, you can review:
Your updated ATS-friendly resume
Resume Analysis Score
Skill Improvement Score
Added or optimized skills and keywords
AI-generated resume suggestions and improvements
You can also click “Compare” to view the before-and-after versions of your resume side by side. This makes it easier to review all recommended updates before applying changes.
Take time to review the suggestions carefully and ensure all updates accurately reflect your experience and qualifications. When ready, click “Apply All and Continue” to save the optimized resume changes and proceed with your application workflow.
