When refining your resume with a coach or through an organization, clear and organized collaboration is key. Careerflow’s Resume Commenting Feature makes this process easy by allowing job seekers to leave comments directly on specific sections of their resume. This way, you can highlight questions, suggestions, or concerns without needing to step outside the Resume Builder.
Whether you’re asking for feedback, suggesting a change, or tracking edits, this feature supports real-time or asynchronous collaboration, and helps ensure nothing gets missed.
Getting Started
Step 1: Go to Resume Builder
From the left sidebar on your dashboard, navigate to Resume Builder. You’ll see a list of your uploaded and created resumes.
Step 2: Choose a Resume
Click on the resume you want to collaborate on. This will open the resume editor.
Step 3: Hover Over a Resume Section
Move your mouse over the section you want to comment on. A small comment icon (usually represented by a speech bubble) will appear.
Step 4: Click the Comment Button
Click on the icon to open the comment box for that specific section.
Step 5: Leave Your Comment
Type your question, feedback, or note in the comment box and click Post. Your coach or collaborator will be able to see it and respond.
Step 6: Mark a Comment as Resolved (Optional)
If the comment was related to a task or edit, you, or your coach, can mark the comment as resolved once the item has been addressed. This helps keep the collaboration space clean and ensures progress is being tracked.
Why Use Resume Commenting?
Targeted Feedback: Comment directly on a specific section without miscommunication.
Asynchronous Collaboration: Leave notes for your coach or organization, even if they’re not online.
Track Edits as Tasks: Treat comments as action items. Mark them as resolved once done.
Organized Workflow: Keep all feedback and questions inside the resume instead of spreading across emails or messages.
Clean and Efficient: Resolved comments disappear from the active view, helping you focus only on pending items.
💡The Resume Commenting feature offers a streamlined and productive way to work with your coach or organization. From clarifying details to requesting edits, this tool turns collaboration into a structured and trackable process. Don’t forget to mark comments as resolved when finished - this keeps your resume editing experience clean, transparent, and forward-moving.
